The Swear Jar

We have a swear jar at our house where you must pay 50 cents when you swear. All of the proceeds go to a family activity of kiddo's choice. Yesterday, Hubby said "damn" and was busted by the kiddo. Here's the thing, he REFUSES to pay it. He claims that because it's not one of the 7 words you can't sat on TV, it doesn't count. I say that if our kiddo shouldn't be saying it, it counts as a swear word. He says that he's an adult so it's okay. Personally, I think 50 cents is a small price to pay in teaching a valuable lesson to our son, one lesson being about taking responsibility for your actions. I am going crazy over the fact that he is so set on being right that he is missing the bigger picture. Why do men care so much about being right all the time?
