A Rocky Start

We started the kiddos homeschooling today and it was not what I had hoped for. We had a good start this morning and then it all went downhill. We went to the coffee shop and did his spanish, which he loved. Then, we went home to work on his math. When we got home, we realized that our internet was down and we have since been bouncing around trying to borrow internet. This has set us back quite a bit as far as time.
Here's the other thing. I am realizing so many things that I thought he knew but doesn't. I am starting to see how he had been lost in the classroom setting. He is literally in tears right now and has been for a half an hour. He is really struggling with writing and math. It has taken him over an hour to write two lines of numbers because he is so frustrated!
I know that working one on one will be a huge help to him, but I am feeling incredibly overwhelmed. I hope I can do right by him and get him caught up to where he needs to be. This is indeed quite the adventure. What a day!!!
