Fall is here

I am homeschooling my kiddo this year and we have just one week until we start. Today we went shopping for school supplies and we are getting very excited. I've decided to use K12 virtual academy and have been very impressed so far. They sent tons of supplies and fun stuff, boxes and boxes of it. We never had resources like that when I was a kid. I am also looking forward to watching him learn and being able to spend this time with him. I always worry that he's getting lost on things in a regular classroom setting. I did love his school last year (quest academy/charter school) but it seems like he was struggling with certain subjects and wasn't advancing like he should. This is such a great opportunity for the both of us.

He has also seemed to enjoy making decisions on how he would like to do things. He wants a warm fuzzy jar to track his good work, recess at 10 and he got to pick out the stickers to put on his school work when he does a good job. I think this is really good for him to have a say on how we will be learning. I want him to be more independent and for learning to be fun. Seriously, can't wait.

The hubby is going to be able to come home for a visit on labor day. I am DYING with anticipation. I miss holding hands and cuddling. Life just isn't the same without him here. I am so grateful that he was able to get this time off. We have been so fortunate in everything and I feel so blessed by this beautiful life I am living.
